Paul Sperry invented the world's first and most famous boat shoe in 1935 when he was inspired by the pattern on the bottom of his dog's feet. With just a razor blade and an old sneaker, Sperry designed the world's first boat shoe- one that would not slip on watery decks. In 1939, the US Navy purchased the shoes for its sailors. Soon after the shoes became standard issue for sailors around the world. Oddball.com is proud to carry these American classics for boat and land lovers alike- in men's large sizes 14, 15 & 16.
